The Cloud Solutions Management team is responsible for the discovery, development, implementation, and lifecycle of internal cloud solutio! ns within the companies computing environments. This includes working with both internal and external customers and partners to provide solutions and services. Additionally, this team is responsible for adherence to company and industry standards.
The Network Architect is responsible for the vision, strategy, and design of our next generation products and services with an emphasis on network architecture within Cloud, Virtualization, and Secure Multi-Tenancy.
Prototype solutions as needed to help solve technical issues during development and collaborate with other architects in the organization to leverage other technologies, and share new technologies with others
Document research results and present findings
Define strategic technology\capability roadmaps
Monitor integration efforts and intervene when necessary
Explain and promote new technologies to other organizations and customers as needed
Technical ownership of design and impleme! ntation
Provide architecture guidance in the context of be! st practices and solution alternatives
Qualifications:
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Ability to quickly learn complex technical concepts and apply them accordingly
Must have excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere 4.x and 5.x infrastructure
VMware vCloud Director 5.x experience
VMware vCloud Networking and Security (vCNS) experience
Must be detail oriented with strong problem solving and time management skills
Must have proven experience in working and communicating effectively in cross-functional teams
Must be able to prioritize projects and tasks while adhering to the overall Information Technology standards
Must be capable of leading meetings and discussions
Mu! st have strong team work qualities with the ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with peers, vendors, management, and other departments within IT
Must have proficiency in authoring documentation
Ability to interpret business requirements into technical specifications
Solid understanding vSphere API and SDK
Experience and knowledge of VCE vBlock (Cisco UCS, Nexus 1000V)
Experience in all phases of the development lifecycle, including use of formal requirement documentation, testing methodologies, implementation strategies, and troubleshooting techniques
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
VCP or greater certification is a plus
