Energizer Holdings, Inc. has exclusively retained Major, Lindsey & Africa to identify a Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Energizer (NYSE: ENR), headquartered in St. ! Louis, Missouri and having 2012 revenues exceeding $4.6 billion, is a consumer goods company operating globally in the broad categories of Personal Care including well-established brand names such as Schick, Edge, Skintimate, Playtex and Banana Boat and Household Products, which is anchored by the universally-recognized Energizer and Eveready brands.
The successful candidate will have at least fifteen (15) years legal experience with a demonstrated expertise in sales, advertising, marketing and consumer product regulatory law, including significant experience consulting in connection with the development of claim substantiation testing protocols, drafting and negotiating sophisticated licensing, marketing and other commercial agreements, and global experience consulting in connection with advertising litigation with competitors. An undergraduate major in chemistry and/or other technical experience is a plus. Some knowledge of intellectual property law and experienc! e handling litigation matters is desired. Prior in-house legal! experience, including management of attorneys, is required. Experience working for a producer of packaged consumer products is highly preferred. This position will report directly to the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, and will be responsible for managing Energizer's global legal framework for the marketing and sale of all of the Company's consumer products, including all regulatory matters, as well as supervision of a team of lawyers and other professionals. This position will be located in either St. Louis, Missouri or Shelton, Connecticut.
