This position is responsible for managing a range of ac! tivities related to employee / labor relations including providing counsel and guidance to managers and supervisors in interpreting and consistently administering Company policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
Provides advice and counsel to management regarding employee relations matters. Investigates problems and disciplinary situations, gathers evidence, takes statements and confers with Director of Staffing & Employee Relations and outside attorneys as necessary to bring about effective resolution.
Facilitates communication among team members and management. May guide managers and team members regarding problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.
Provides expertise in developing strategies, planning and implementing employee relations efforts; provides on-going maintenance of these plans.
Works with Division Directors, Regional Managers and other members of management to conduct prelimi! nary investigations on allegations including but not limited t! o discrimination, unfair treatment, working conditions, disciplinary actions, harassment, etc.
Monitors and interprets applicable laws and policies and advises management accordingly. Monitors all policies and programs to insure that the Company is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Directs the implementation and monitoring of the Company's performance evaluation process; coaches and trains supervisors in developing and setting performance standards and conducting performance evaluations using the Company's performance management system.
Coordinates exit interviews for managers and supervisors and reports findings to Director of Staffing & Employee Relations. Assists with corrective action (when applicable).
Works with the Training department to develop and implement improvement processes for management and team member relations.
Provides support, guidance and follow up regarding reaching and maintaining Company ! retention goals.
Oversees the security and integrity of HR information including team member files, I-9 forms, performance evaluations and other documents.
Handles sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner and maintains discretion/confidentiality in all matters.
Oversees the implementation and delivery of team member awards programs such as Chuckie Awards and milestone anniversary service awards.
Prepares and presents required and special reports.
Performs other duties and responsibilities where appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required, preferably in human resources or a related field; a minimum of five years of human resources experience with considerable knowledge of employee / labor laws and practices. Masters degree in Business or related field a plus.
