Transactional Paralegal

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Description: BJC Health System is employing Transactional Paralegal right now, this vacancy will be reside in Missouri. BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-Missouri re! gions. Services include inpatient and outpatient care, primary care, community health and wellness, workplace health, home health, community mental health, rehabilitation, long-term care and hospice.Provides comprehensive service to BJC HealthCare, focused on the system's legal needs.

Role PurposeTo utilize both general and legal contracting skills and knowledge to draft, interpret and negotiate contracts to serve the needs of BJC Health System and its affiliated entities.
Responsibilities *Negotiates assigned real estate leases and other contracts with attorneys and contract administrators for non-BJC parties.

• Drafts, interprets, and evaluates contract language and makes necessary recommendations for changes.
• Coordinates negotiation strategy with departments involved in transactions and makes re! commendations.
• Conducts reasonable compensation analy! sis for employed physician contracts.
• Coordinates responses to ad hoc internal and external requests for legal and contract information.

Minimum Requirements
Degree *Bachelor's Degree

• Business/Law/related

Experience *2-5 years

Supervisor Experience *No Experience

Preferred Requirements
Licenses & Certifications *Paralegal Certification

Professional - Non Clinical Skills *Coordinating Contracts - 2 years or more
