Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Description: Emerson Corporate Headquarters is presently looking of Corporate Personnel Manager - Information Technology right now, this position will be depute in Missouri. The Corporate Personnel Manager, Information Technology primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, leading str! ategic organizational development practices and tactical human resources generalist support for Emerson Electric’s Corporate Information Technology Department. This position will provide guidance, support and oversight of services to employees and managers in the areas of: full cycle recruiting and on boarding; performance management; training and development; policy development and documentation; employee relations; program budget, overall continuing quality improvement process, and compensation and benefits administration and compliance, and immigration compliance. Also provide support of employee relations activities and advise staff on matters consistent with Corporate Personnel practices, guidelines and procedures.

Must have proven expertise in supporting a complex, multi location based organization as well as effective experience in participating with HR organizations supporting such an organization.

Network within highly matrixed HR organization to successfully meet business needs.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain relationships with managers to stay abreast of current and future employee relations challenges.
o Interprets corporate policies and practices ! for the Corporate Information Technology department management to ensur! e consistency with Corporate Personnel practices and policies.

  • Manage relocation for transferees and external new hires for Senior Managers and MBA Corporate Sponsorship participants, full-time and summer interns.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify problems and solutions for placement and retention.
  • Recommend development opportunities and/or plans for Information Technology department employees.
  • Advise management and employees on:
o Department performance management system, including quarterly goal setting and annual reviews.

o Annual merit increase/compensation planning.

o Annual succession planning, i.e. Annual Information Technology Department Organization Review.

  • Presentations (small and large group audiences)
o New hire orientation.

o Information Technology department communications meetings and staff meetings as necessary.

o Annual workplace polici! es and guidelines presentation.

o Ethics Program

o Employee Opinion Survey

  • Ongoing responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o EEO/AAP Reporting.

o FMLA Administration.

o Immigration Compliance

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:
  • BS required in General Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology or Equivalent required.
  • MBA highly preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR highly preferred
EXPERIENCE:
    5-8 years of experience in a human resources capacity preferred.
  • Experience using PC database management, spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software applications (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint â€" required. MS Access and SharePoint preferred).
  • Strong team building skills required. Previous experience in a matrix organization preferred.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Previous experience presenting to upper level management preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical, business planning and problem solving skills required.
  • Ability to identify issues, requirements and opportunities for improvement required.
