About the Management Team
The General Manager has been at the helm for the past 13 years and prior to joining the Chateau, he spent a decade with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts where he honed his hospitality skills. His industry training has groomed him to expect his team to always be striving for the best. His expectations when it comes to service and quality is to exceed and in order to do so, the Team has to have the same aspirations. Many other members of his managment team have worked with him for a number of years ! thereby forming a real solid team. The catering team is direct! ed by one of those long term team players and is very solid together with the banquet department. The sales team has three new faces starting with the DOS and two sales managers, all within the past six months and we plan on adding one more sales manager and an Executive Meeting Planner to round out the team.

Scope of this Position
In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Hotel sales & catering, front office
Requires a minimum of 8 y! ear(s) of experience.
Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
Overnight travel for this position: 15%
Requirements
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit. Technical Requirements:
Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.
Experience selling to a variety of market segments.
Actively participate in industry related organizations.
Strong background in selling rooms, F&B, Catering, Meeting Rooms, and A/V.
Thorough knowledge of sales techniques.
Enjoy asking for business and closing sales.
Aggressively pursue new accounts on a weekly basis.
Maximize yield.
Consistently book repeat business.
Track record developing long term business relationships.
Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients.
Make onsite and field presentations to prospective clients.
Work effectively with Rooms, Recreation, Catering, Conference/Conventi! on Services, and Banquet Departments.
Participate in local communit! y to develop business.
Attend trade shows and participate in sales blitzes.
Excellent phone sales skills.
Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
Enjoy a team sales approach.
Desire recognition and compensation based on personal sales production.
Maintain and use trace system.
Strong background in SMERF.
Strong background in Group sales.
Strong background in Incentive sales.

Educational Requirements:
AA/AS Two year degree.

Salary
Competitive salary within the region.
Bonus
to 40% of salary, payable quarterly
