Responsibilities:
As part of the Windows Server Support organization, the engineer will provide engineering-level support of the Windows pla! tform and business solutions which includes the hardware, operating system, Windows infrastructure, and application components. The engineer will work with various engineering, application, and business communities to establish and improve processes and procedures related to the underlying technologies and solutions. This is a third shift position from 9pm-7am. The shift rotates monthly between Tuesday-Friday and Friday-Monday 10 hour shifts.
The Systems Engineer is responsible for leading event, incident, and problem resolution within the systems architecture.
Qualifications:
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred 3+ years experience with incident and problem resolution 3+ years experience with base ! supported technologies: Microsoft Server 2003/2008, Terminal S! ervices, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Server hardware technologies 5+ years system support, engineering and/or administration experience in a relevant platform Established teamwork and leadership skills to lead and participate in resolution of escalated incidents with multiple technology disciplines Problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Working knowledge of at least one of the following infrastructure applications is: Microsoft Exchange, Threat Management Gateway, SCOM, HP SIM, Microsoft Unified Access Gateway, Citrix Netscaler, SQL and Microsoft Cluster technologies Familiar with basics of operating system theory, associated 3rd party software products, and hardware components Demonstrated customer service support ethic and focus to deliver the highest, most consistent level of customer service to our customers Ability to successfully communicate technical detail! s to a wide variety of audiences Ability to respond to common inquiries or escalations from end-users Ability to write routine reports for documentation, informational or status reporting requirements
