The candidate will be expected to initiate residential 1st and 2ndmortgage loans, either for purchase, refinance or new construction with the assistance of the Market Sales Manager. The Associate Loan Officer (ALO) will assist the MSM with loan origination activities, and will develop sales from the existing client/referral base.
They will take direction from the Market Sales Manager with regard to new business generation activities, and will interface internally with Bank staff and externally with Realtors, CPA's an! d other professionals. Compensation will be a combination of m! odest salary and commission. Essential Duties: Associate Loan Officer must be able to execute on the following: Learn secondary market underwriting and pricing guidelines, as well as Bank policy and procedureCoordinate activities among team members towards best execution mortgage practicesPartner with internal staff, including commercial and consumer bankers, to support the cross-sell objectives of each group and deliver high quality service to the Bank's clients and prospectsLearn to develop loan production from external sources including financial planners, CPA's, attorneys, real estate agents, etc.Required Skills (including PC software): Superior written and verbal communication skills, client service aptitude, analytical skills3+ years experience in a professional environment (banking, law, accounting, finance, or other)Demonstrated success in sales environment
