Due to our exciting plans for the future, we have several career opportunities available. JOB SUMMARY Primary duties include legal support for H&R Block's websites and Do It Yourself (DIY) products and services. These duties will include legal review of online/downloadable products & services, internet marketing, mobile applications, marketing contracts, and partnering with US Tax Services on all legal needs including developing creative solutions to business issues. Other principal duties include preparing business operations contracts, handling trademark issues and assisting with a variety of other issues.
Facilitate projects with strategic impact, including sales programs (sales promotions, direct mail, sales contest, online marketing, sales material development, marketing communications, etc) that are designed to increase customer growth and profitability. JOB DUTIES Independently provide l! egal advice regarding complex issues in connection with the Co! mpany's US Tax Services DIY operations, coordinating efforts with clients and attorneys. Discuss and present information to Senior Management. Manage outside counsel regarding tactical work.
Some travel required. Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS Juris Doctorate degree plus license to practice law in one or more states. Have passed or willing to apply for Missouri Bar.Key attributes for the appropriate candidate include enjoying working in a fast paced environment with desire to learn business to provide strong legal and business advice.
Candidate will have the ability to interact with senior management and will need to be able to conduct risk/benefit analysis, advise client appropriately and be creative with solutions that solve the business needs while mitigating risk.At least six years of legal experience with specific experience in contracts, regulatory matters, websites and internet based online/software consumer transactions. Effective oral,! written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation skills necessary to communicate and persuade a wide range of audiences.Effective negotiation skills.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects and work initiatives at the same time.Experience dealing with clients.Ability to spot issues.Demonstrated creativity in resolution of complex disputes.Strong business skills.
