Job Summary
Full time position for legal assistant/paralegal working in a small law office in Independence/Lee's Summit, Missouri area. Working primarily for one attorney in the practice areas of insurance defense and pe rsonal injury litigation.
Responsibilities and Duties
Broad range of responsibilities and duties including preparing and editing pleadings, discovery, and other written documents. Assisting attorney(s) in preparing for depositions, document review, medical records review and preparation of medical chronologies, requesting and obtaining medical records from medical providers, assisting attorney(s) in preparing for hearings and for trial, interaction with clients.
Qualifications and Skills
Some previous experience as a legal assistant and/or paralegal dealing with personal injury litigation files is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30,000.00 to $35,000.00 /year
