The ideal candidate has experience leading or managing the activities of teams assigned to conduct complex investigations of ethical and compliance issues.
Uses an electronic case management system in support of case management activities. Utilizes standard investigative procedures to review and analyze reported information to determine if it is within the investigation scope of responsibility. Conducts sensitive corporate investigations. Analyzes and translates data. Establishes proof of facts and evidence. Reviews cases and consults with company attorneys. Gathers preliminary investigative data (e.g., witnesses, electronic! data, physical evidence) to assess the validity of the allega! tion and determine the allocation of further investigative resources. Prepares a preliminary investigative plan to identify and employ needed resources (e.g., budget requirement, special equipment, computing security). Depending on experience level, some assistance may be required from a more experienced employee. Executes the preliminary investigative plan by utilizing basic investigative techniques by gathering data and employing subject matter experts to prove or disprove the allegation. Briefs customers (e.g., Human Resources, first level management, Ethics) periodically on relevant findings during the course of the investigations on a need-to-know basis determined by the sensitivity of the investigation or as mandated by Boeing Legal Department. Creates a concise customer report detailing the factual outcome of the investigation. Advises concerned parties of report findings (e.g., Legal, Ethics, Employee Corrective Action Review Board [ECARB], policy compliance and int! ernal control weaknesses) for follow-up action/adjudication/documentation. More experienced investigators brief customers (e.g., Human Resources, Ethics, management and executives) periodically on relevant findings during the course of complex investigations on a need-to-know basis determined by the sensitivity of the investigation, or as mandated by Boeing Law Department. Provide assistance to less experienced investigators as needed. Develops new methods, computer forensics tools, and revised techniques for investigations. Leads and instructs team on case histories, interviewing and questioning witnesses. Analyses data and trends to support business needs. Conducts internal training of new investigation processes and tools. Plans and directs investigation activities. Oversees caseload and conducts high profile investigations. Consults with law department on legal proceedings. Introduces new methodologies, techniques and policies. Identifies risks and opportunities within ! an organization and takes action to implement and monitor performance. ! Develops and implements mitigation plans for risks or issues impacting management. Develops and conducts ongoing training for staff and provides technical guidance to investigators. Directs implementation of new methods and revised techniques. Identifies and evaluates best practices. Reviews or prepares final reports to stakeholders. Provides guidance and consultation to managers. Interprets and makes recommendations on investigation policies, procedures, practices and processes. Investigative certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Corporate Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) desired. Significant experience with Microsoft Office products also desired. In! ternational investigations, white collar crime investigations a plus.
