Candidate will be responsible for the following:
Researches and resolves routine legal inquiri! es and issues to support attorneys with literature or document search. Advises company personnel on routine matters. May prepare agreements, documents and pleadings relating to litigation and non-litigation matters according to specified content and format. Provides research and background investigation under the general direction of an attorney. May be responsible for state court handling of plaintiff's litigation and bankruptcy collection. This person will be responsible for maintaining on-going discovery, e.g., responding to requests from outside counsel, gathering documents internally, preparing requests to opposing party, identifying need for and drafting subpoenas and drafting responses to discovery requests. This person will be integrally involved in trial preparation, negotiations, settlements and closing cases.
