Real Estate Specialist

Description: Commerce Bank is in need of Real Estate Specialist right now, this occupation will be ordered in Missouri. Handle commercial real estate closings including the selection, price negotiation and approval of third party reports including title commitments, environmental assessments and surveys. Responsible for r! eviewing all third party reports and resolving any title issues, environmental concerns or survey exceptions. Work directly with Administrator & Loan Closing Supervisor, attorneys, borrowers, and loan officers during the loan closing process. Responsible for reviewing and approving loan documents prior to closing to determine if the documents are in compliance with loan commitment approval and CBI loan policy. Schedule and attend closings with Administrator & Loan Closing Supervisor, attorney, borrowers and loan officers and coordinate documentation recordings and order title policies in accordance with CBI loan policy. Approve the distribution of funds when all recording matters are completed.
Handle construction draw process including mechanic lien searches, review inspection reports, loan budget comparison and approve the loan funding. Maintain a closing working relationship with Administrator & Loan Closing Supervisor, borrower, general contractor and title com! pany. Resolve any issues that arise during the construction lo! an phase.
Provide calling officers with technical expertise in preparing their loan presentation to the customer. Communicate bank policies to calling officers for customer presentation. Must keep current on CBI loan policies.
Education / Experience
Education:
- College degree preferred.
- Ten years experience in banking with real estate, legal and financial background.
- Must have excellent communication skills in an oral and written manner and have exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously. Must be self-directed and able to work at a fast pace.
- Advanced computer proficiency required.
- Technical knowledge in commercial construction lending and procedures preferred.
