Job Title Liquid Fuels Maintenance Technician (Various Locations- Mainland Japan, O! kinawa, & Hawaii, etc) Primary Job Responsibilities We are seeking Liquid Fuels Maintenance Personnel to provide quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance for Department of Defense military installations, both OCONUS and CONUS.
Duties to include, but not limited to: a Utilize system drawings and schematics a Inspect, repair, calibrate, and maintain liquid fuel storage, distribution, and dispensing systems a Check components for proper operation, pressure, and adjustment a Check systems for internal or external leakage under flow conditions a Respond to system complaints, faults, and malfunctions a Performs recurring maintenance on systems and components a Identifies and advises on issues, installation, and repairs of LF/POL storage, distribution, and dispensing equipment and systems a Solves complex maintenance issues by studying layout drawings, schematics, diagrams, and analysis of construction and operational characteristics a Develops and maintains ! operations and maintenance procedures to ensure minimum down t! ime a Performs preventative maintenance planning and scheduling a Prepares cost estimates for repairs and minor construction a Prepares and maintains location specific CMMS database, site records, and site status reports a Operates and maintains equipment to provide testing, calibration, measurement as well as IT equipment
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability in the following: a DoD fuel system functionality and methods including equipment and materials used in construction a Principals of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical theory as the apply to liquid fuel systems a Maintenance and repair of control valves, both automatic and manual a Use an interpretation of wiring diagrams, schematics, line drawings, and blue prints a Regulations and construction specifications and standards used in construction and repair of DoD fuels facilities as well as related construction inspection a Inspection techniques related to DoD fuel facilities a Interpersonal skills using ta! ct, patience, and courtesy a Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships a Communicate effectively both written and oral a Work with minimal supervision a Read, interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures a Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions a Maintain records and prepare reports a Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and CMMS software a Must have experience with Federally funded projects and knowledge of US DoO rules and regulations Training and Experience a Minimum of 5 years experience in fuel system operations and maintenance to include fuel storage facilities, pipelines, dispensing, and bulk refueling a attendance in a US DoD fuels maintenance course is preferred but not required a API 653/570 certification are not required but would be a plus a Attendance in a professionally accredited Quality Control Management (QCM) Course (US Army or privately conducted) or ability to obtain certification with 6 months of hire! . a Must have a valid drivers license and US passport and be able to ob! tain a US DoD Common Access Card (CAC) a OSHA Certification would be a plus a Work is performed in the field and may include walking, standing, bending, climbing, and other physical activities a Considerable travel is required-
