Responsible for the overall direction and activities of the Brokerage Branch Office. You will develop new and service existing customers in a target market. You will maintain acceptable rate of return on sales, maintaining growth targets and profitability, as well as growing and developing your staff.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer needs and provide 3rd party solutions
- Cultivate relationships with customers for branch growth
- Negotiate rates and maximize profitability
- Responsible for budget and P&L
- Develop and manage a network of external carriers to move freight efficiently and profitably
- Train and develop personnel
- Maintain contact with other offices outsourcing needs
- Exceed required margin and revenue goals
- Two to Four year degree (or at least 6 years 3PL brokerage experience)
- Must have management experience and/or training.
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience managing a budget and P&L
- Willingness to be on call
- Demonstrable negotiation skills
- Willing to travel
