Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Description: Ascension Health is hiring Integrated Disability Program Manager right now, this career will be designated in Missouri. The Integrated Disability Program Manager will be responsible for liaison activities with Ascension Health member organizations, affiliates, and Missions. Primary responsibility will center around workers’ compensation, short and long term disability claims activities, conducting claims reviews, and on site consultations and educational activities concerning claims process. Additionally, this position will be responsible for program assessment, metric reports, analytics, communication of Division initiatives, and assistance with implementation of IDM concepts and streamlining the handling of claims internally at the health ministry level. Responsibilities will include working with the third party administrator for claims handling and reviewing the attorneys selected to work with the litigated claims. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing return to work program implementations at all Health Ministries.

Responsibilities:
Advises member and affiliate organizations of structure and function of Ascension Health Risk Management’s IDM program components. Organizes orientation for new WC Coordinators regarding claims process. Assists members, affiliate organizations with the development and maintenance of effective claims handling process and investigation techniques. Provides written reports of consultative and education activities to local organization’s management team. Participates in Ascension Health Risk Management education planning and presentations regarding IDM programs. Interacts closely with Associate Safety staff to identify claims trends. Assists the HM workers’ compensation/disability coordinators with reporting mechanisms that will assist with review of their individual program status. Responsible for annual review of all legal counsel performance â€" Workers’Compensation counsel and Disability counsel. Coordinates with data analyst detailed analytics for Director of WC/Disability Management and Director of Associate Safety. Attends Associate Health and Safety program meetings when requested. Responsible for close coordination of claims process and reserve setting with the third party administrator. Responsible for establishing the claims review schedule at the health ministries. Responsible for reviewing and updating return to work system program toolkit and reviewing RTW programs in all Health Ministries and assisting with improvements. Serve on committees assigned regarding workers’ compensation claims. Meet with the legal team and work on projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 10 years of experience in workers’ compensation, safety and/or disability claims administration and operations. Certifications such as ARM, CWCP, or CPDM are desirable. Prior supervisory experience is required. Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and Disability Programs is required in the following areas: Claims management software programs General third-party claims administration Loss runs and management reporting tools Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Demonstrates good organizational skills and is a self motivator. Individual must show an understanding and acceptance of the philosophy and mission of Ascension Health.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
This position requires knowledge in worker’s compensation regulations, multiple states’ laws, and has the ability to oversee multiple state WC program. An understanding of the Ascension Health Disability program. Effective public speaking, communications is required as well as organization and data analysis skills. Multiple years of progressive management of people and projects is beneficial. The ability to be self directed and work independently is imperative.
