The paralegal works in conjunction with the attorneys to effectively manage cases while providing top service to the client.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily case management
- Ordering and reviewing police reports, supplemental reports, medical records, insurance policies, etc.
- Investigation using Westlaw, REJIS, social media, etc.
- Preparing pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, affidavits, medical chronologies and other litigation support documents
- Managing attorney’s calendar and court deadlines
- Preparation of settlement distributions and allocations
- Other duties as assigned
- Paralegal with personal injury experience preferred
- Must possess strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail
- Must have the ability to handle competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in legal research
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Associates Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- High School Diploma
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
