The company is financially sound and stable; they seek an experienced human resources professional to provide leadership and direction for senior management and a staff of approximately 225+ employees, the majority of whom are non-exempt. The objective is to provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment with responsibility, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President, Human Resources has two direct reports and will provide human resources leadership, direction, coaching and support to the organization and all employees of the organization. This role will implement and ensure compliance with all federal, state, local laws as wel! l as employment best practices & policies in the areas of recr! uitment, employee relations & development, performance management, compensation/benefits and all other human resource administrative matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high level of personal direction, leadership and coaching to senior leadership, managers and associates; specific expertise in the areas of benefits, compensation and creating a professional development program would be highly valued.
- Coach and execute change management with senior leadership, management and staff providing recommendations on business initiatives that will pull through the organization.
- Select and supervise Human Resources consultants, attorneys, and training specialists, and coordinates company use of insurance brokers, insurance carriers, pension administrators, and other outside sources.
- Regularly and effectively communicate throughout all levels within organization in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
Education, training, experience:
- Undergraduate degree in business or human resources is desired. PHR or SPHR is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success as a senior level human resources professional with emphasis on moving human resources to be a strategic, proactive business partner. Experience with a non-exempt employee population within a non-union environment is critical.
- Substantial knowledge and expertise in all facets of human resources management.
- Individual should demonstrate customer centric behavior and attitude, good judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Possess strong influence and communication skills-written, verbal and presentation formats and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- This role needs a confident, energetic relationship builder who builds rapport and earns respect at every level of the organization.
