Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Secretary and Group Counsel the attorney filling this position will:
Assume overall responsibility for th! e Kemper Home Service insurance compliance program
Manage all market conduct examinations
Provide advice on customer complaints, market conduct issues, insurance law and corporate matters
Assist in the preparation of statutory insurance filings and respond to insurance regulatory issues
Review and interpret state and federal laws and regulations concerning insurance matters
Provide legal advice on agent-related issues
Assist the Group Counsel in performing other projects and assignments as needed.

Position Qualifications:
A juris doctor degree and a minimum of 10 years of legal experience with a life insurance company, an insurance regulator, or a law firm that advises major life insurance companies
Demonstrated analytical, organizational and time-management skills
Ability to deal effecti! vely with clients, including senior management
