ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Legal manages all legal and regulatory compliance matters impacting business operations. Our teams of attorneys and paralegals have different areas of responsibility, including contract generation, negotiation and procurement.

Legal’s primary areas of res! ponsibility include overseeing contracting activities and lice! nsing, providing legal advice, ensuring corporate compliance, managing litigation activity, ensuring SEC compliance, and supporting merger and acquisition activity. Legal also drives the company’s public affairs efforts at both the federal and state levels.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Manage the PBM client contracting process and recommend improvements to reduce issues and expedite the overall contract process quality and efficiency. Work on accounts within all business segments: National, Middle Market, Health Plans, Public Sector, Workers’ Compensation, and Labor. Serve as a point of escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of understanding. Participate in client negotiations. Support quality improvement efforts by analyzing and recommending process improvement for contract language requirements, performance guarantees and other internal processes to improve overall contracting process quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. Create, maintain, and co! mmunicate operational processes and procedures to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly understood within and outside of the Legal Department. Manage internal contracting initiatives that support global contract processes. Function as the subject matter expert for other operational departments to analyze, mediate and reconcile contract issues. Provide continued education/training to the Client Contracting team members, sales and account management on current contract terms, changes in edits and business decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage the PBM client contracting process and recommend improvements to reduce issues and expedite the overall contract process quality and efficiency.

Serve as a point of escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of understanding.

Participate in client negotiations

Support quality improvement efforts by analyzing and recommending process improvement for contract language requirement! s, performance guarantees and other internal processes to improve overa! ll contracting process quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Create, maintain, and communicate operational processes and procedures to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly understood within and outside of the Legal Department.

Manage internal contracting initiatives that support or impact global contract processes.

Provide continued education/training to the Client Contracting team members, sales and account management on current contract terms, changes in edits and business decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate degree or similar work experience

3 â€" 5 years experience in contracting, including contract negotiation, project management, process improvement, or similar function.

Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes on a PC platform.

Experience in pharmaceutical, PBM or Healthcare industry is helpful.

Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage timelines and ba! lance multiple deadlines.

Ability to work cross-functionally to resolve complex contract issues.

Strong focus on customer service.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, quickly grasp new concepts, solve problems, and make decisions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
