The development team is responsible for building core XML based services for Enterprise client facing applications which are! used to support rental operations in the branches, and via web channels.
The Web Next Gen team has an immediate opening for a contractor position. This position is responsible for developing prototypes and performing complex application development. This position interprets end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications. This position also analyzes and reviews software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost restraints. In addition, this position performs unit and integration testing and assists with developing unit test scripts, as well as routine production support.
Qualifications: Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Info! rmation Systems, or related field preferred
4+ years ! of demonstrable experience applying the following technologies:
XML and SOA architectures Object-oriented application development principles, theories, and concepts GitHub and other object-oriented development tools such as SOAP UI and Eclipse UNIX operating systems Oracle database environment Microsoft Office desktop applications software
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Java & J2EE (including EJB, JDBC and associated technologies) Familiarity with Weblogic Server, Spring, Hibernate, WebServices and exposure to AOP and SOA concepts, Java Testing via JUNIT 4 Knowledge of using J2EE specific design patterns Experience with the configuration and setup of J2EE application servers Experience building common frameworks
Additional Skills and Competencies: Web development experience with JSP, Struts, Spring MVC Good communication skills to effectively communicate with various IT teams Development estimation skills Ability to judge bet! ween what is requested and what is feasible given the parameters of the technology and the project, and be able to demonstrate the ability to identify impending problems and raise and solve issues Ability to collaborate within a team environment
