The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring ! activities of six or more project teams involved in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of IT Infrastructure initiatives. The Project Manager collaborates with others to define project scope and objectives, identifies required skills and resources for project team, develops detailed work plans, and provides project status. The Project Manager also conducts interim and post-project reviews and conducts quality assurance audits. In addition, the Project Manager anticipates and identifies project issues and risks, recommends solutions, and works with senior management to implement solutions. Types of projects assigned include but are not limited to; data center migrations, upgrading Windows Server 2003 to 2008, virtualization, and network hardening.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred 3+ years infrastructure related project management ex! perience Proficient knowledge of project management concepts, ! from planning and inception through implementation and support Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple end-to-end projects Experience in gathering and documenting all business requirements Intimate knowledge of phases of full life cycle development Proficient knowledge of analysis techniques, tool usage and standards Knowledgeable with computer system concepts, i.e., servers, storage, database, middleware, and networking Successful track record of effective resource management is essential Proven leadership, results orientation, and self-motivation traits Proficient in reading technical specifications and data models
