JOB SUMMARY
The Credit Specialist reviews and prepares loan documentation following H&R Block Bank’s underwriting guidelines and policies. Prepares loan documentation files, ensures all title issues and closing conditions are met and that loans are properly recorded and in approved lien position. Examine loan terms and ensure loan is funded within established time frames. Perform due diligence around purchased loans, ensuring loans meet the Bank’s lending criteria. Assist with tape preparation and analysis of secondary market transactions. Associate will have responsibility for researching and resolving client disputes, processing phone and mail payments for clients, and a variety of clerical processes utilizing the Company's debt management systems to support the debt management team. Associate will also in! teract with the Collection Center of Excellence, and external ! collection vendors.
JOB DUTIES
Review loan applications, credit verifications, legal documentation, entity formation documents, title, escrow and third party reports.
Prepare, review, and document recommendation for all files for Credit Manager or higher authority approval.
Assist Credit Manager in following up with borrower and coordinating with attorneys, escrow officers, title officers, appraisers and other third parties.
Coordinate the execution and review of loan documents and prepare them for funding and on-boarding for servicing.
Review, analyze, and provide clear and concise profiles of secondary market transactions.
Assist in due diligence process on loans being considered for purchase from third parties, to ensure they meet the Bank’s lending criteria
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field â€"OR- equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years mortgage! processing and administrative experience.
Knowledge of basic mortgage principles, practices and techniques..
Strong customer service and teamwork oriented.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of financial servies products (Emerald Advance, Deduct My Fees (RAC), etc.).
