Position Summary:
As a Senior Claims Advocate , you will be responsible for independently and proactively managing the marine claims programs for assigned clients. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Monitoring all marine claims, including large and litigated claims
Demonstrating the ability to manage and communicate complex! claims issues for key accounts
Attends and facilitates cl! ient meetings, claim reviews and vendor visits
Reviews claim status, action plans, and reserves using advanced problem resolution skills
Coordinates incident, claims reporting to company's attorneys and third party investigators, surveyors, adjusters or administrators and clients.
Negotiates for changes in reserves for a positive client outcome
Provides status reports to clients and keeps Account Executive and Claims Manager informed
Advocates, consults and provides coverage advice to clients as appropriate
Actively researches and obtains claims data from claim carriers and challenge adjusters as warranted while advocating the best possible outcome for clients in accordance with service standards
Handles claims consistent with our clients and corporate policies, procedures and "Best Practices" and also in accordance to any statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements
Additional Considerations:Qualifications Required:
B! achelors Degree
Seven or more years of claims experience in an insurance company, TPA or brokerage environment
General computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office applications, and related claims and business software Work Traits:
Good interpersonal skills including the ability to work in conjunction with and support all administration management, supervisory and staff positions
Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices
Solid analytical skills necessary to make decisions an resolve issues inherent in the handling of claims
Ability to successfully negotiate the settlement disposition of claims including the ability to interpret related documentation
Outstanding communication skills - both verbal and written U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
