Job Title: Laboratory Manager Department: St. Charles Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Prepared by: Human Resources Prepared Date: 3/8/2013 SUMMARY Avertest, a multi-location forensic drug screening s! ervice provider, is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with daily management and operations. This position is designed to allow for career advancement and will report directly to the General Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Regular interactions with customers to include judges, prosecutors, probation officers, and treatment counselors Regualr office paperwork Customer service Laboratory staff management and supervision Candidate interviewing Site coordination with the Corporate office Specimen collection Specimen analysis Result reporting KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Skill in the use of computers to include applications such as Excel, Word, and E-mail Outstanding customer service skills Supervisory and management skills Ability to multi-task Ability to work independently as well as in a team Ability to interact with court ! officials on a professional level Ability to maintain a high l! evel of organization Outstanding attention to detail REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS An Associate ’s degree in healthcare or criminal justice and 3-6 years of supervisory and customer service experience is preferred. Experience managing in a laboratory setting is a plus. COMPENSATION Pay ranges between $25,000-30,000 anually based upon qualifications and experience.
