Credit Manager

Location: Fenton, Missouri

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required. Advanced degree in Accounting/Finance and/or related business area is preferred.
A minimum of five to ten years in work related skill, knowledge or experience ! in credit administration is required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
Strong computer skills, with an emphasis in Word, Excel and financial/accounting systems are required. Experience with AS400 systems is preferred.

Responsibilities:
Approve or reject, or coordinate the approval and rejection of, lines of credit.
Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections-and-balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.
Submit delinquent accounts to attorneys or outside agencies for collection.
Coordinates with others, including personnel in company branches and credit card companies, to exchange information and update controls.
Assign workers, directly or through subordinate supervisors, responsibility for investigating and verifying financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings, and recommending rejection or approval of applications.
Evaluate and manage collection procedures, and make recommendations for changes to p! rocedures.
Review collection reports to ascertain status of collection and balance outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.
Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectable; ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad credit status to account.
Establish credit limits on customer accounts.
Review and approve adjustments to accounts.
Monitor the percentages of aged accounts.
Any and all other duties as assigned.
