POSITION AVAILABILITY Corporate Claims Management has the following job opening. Position Title: Claims Adjuster - Workers Compensation (Illinois W/C Claims) Salary Structure: Full-Time, Exempt/Salaried Salary: $50,000 to $75,000 Availability: Immediate Qualifications: 5+ years experience in handling Illinois Workers' Compensation lost-time claims including an extensive experience in handling litigated cases; administrative claims experience; knowledge of Illinois W/C rules and procedures; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally to clients, claimants, attorneys and medical providers. Typing skills, data input skills, organizational skills, independent work skills, general office related skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Other skills as may be deemed necessary by the management of CCMI. General Description: Successful applicant will rely upon their past experiences and will receive on-the-job training by Claims Supervisory staff to enable them to fulfill the following essential job tasks. Additional requirements and responsibilities may be included at the discretion of Corporate Claims Management: Investigate and handle Illinois Workers' Compensation cases to conclusion;Take Recorded Statements of claimants, employer representatives and witnesses;Complete state forms;Possible on-site investigations required;Evaluate and post reserves for indemnity, medical, and expenses;Schedule and follow-up on doctor appointments;Send detailed appointment letters, MMI and Rating letters to physicians;Send detailed claim evaluation letters to defense attorney and clients;Request wage statements;Assist with special reports for and presentations to clients;Request and evaluate medical records;Follow up with claimants regarding treatment and work status;Evaluate all claim bills for proper payment or denial, which includes checking reserves, coding and making sure treatment is related to accident.Evaluate claim value and negotiate settlements;Pursue subrogation against potential responsible third parties;Quarterly claim reviews with clients;Various other duties as deemed necessary by the management of CCMI. Other: EOE 5+ years experience in handling Illinois Workers' Compensation lost-time claims including an extensive experience in handling litigated cases; administrative claims experience; knowledge of Illinois W/C rules and procedures; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally to clients, claimants, attorneys and medical providers. Typing skills, data input skills, organizational skills, independent work skills, general office related skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
