Responsibilities The Pricing Service Team has an immediate opening for a software Engineer The Software Engineer is responsible for developing prototypes and performing complex application coding and programming This position interprets enduser business requirements to develop andor modify technical design specifications for offtheshelf andor customdeveloped applications The Software Engineer also analyzes and reviews software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost restraints In addition this position performs unit and integration testing and assists with developing unit test scripts Routine production support is also part of the responsibilities Qualifications bull Must be presently authorized to work in the US without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future bull Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Management Information Systems or related field preferred bull 2+ years experience using CC++ PLSQL Java J2EE (including EJB JDBC XML and associated technologies) bull 2+ years experience using Tuxedo Weblogic Server Spring Hibernate WebServices and exposure to AOP (exposure to SOA is preferred) bull Knowledge in objectoriented application development principles theories and concepts using J2EE specific design patterns and usage bull Experience using Rational (Clearcase ClearQuest) and other objectoriented development tools such as SOAP UI and Eclipse bull Solid knowledge of UNIX operating systems bull Solid knowledge of Oracle database environment bull Solid knowledge of Java Testing via JUNIT 4 bull Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications software Additional Skills and Competencies bull Experience with the configuration and setup of J2EE application servers bull Experience with the configuration and setup of Tuxedo domains bull Experience building common frameworks bull Good communication skills to effectively communicate with various IT teams bull Estimation skills bull Ability to judge between what is requested and what is feasible given the parameters of the technology and the project the ability to identify impending problems and raise and solve issues bull Ability to collaborate within a team environment
