We are growing our team with an opportunity available for a Contract Specialist/Legal Assistant to support the Federal Business Development team in St. Louis, MO.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to legal department.
Prepare, organize and maintain contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance.
Assist with the review and preparation of certain contractual instruments, such as teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and similar documents from templates.
Ensure contract review, approval and execution in accordance with corporate guidelines.
Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures.
Administer and manage document management system.
Coordinate with other departments as necessary regarding legal services requests and documents and engage with attorneys as needed.
Interface with internal and external customers as needed.
Review solicitations and (if applicable) prepare recommendations for the proposal team and business owners.
Participate in meetings related to proposal bid/no-bid decisions, kick-off discussions and submission requirements
Prepare and administer correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal
Assist other company personnel with internal issues and developments relative to contracts.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred or equalivent experience
Paralegal certification (preferred), Contract Management certification, or similar experience required
3 to 5 years of experience directly related to contract management and light contract drafting/review.
Working knowledge of contracting concepts, Uniform Commercial Code (if applicable).
High attention to detail.
Superior organizational and time management skill.
Strong knowledge of Word, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and SalesForce.
Strong analytical and communications skills.
Work independently, innovatively and efficiently in an extremely fast paced environment.
Ability to prepare contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines.
Working knowledge of contract acquisition laws and regulations (FAR and applicable supplements).
Wide range of experience with technology/service contracts, including firm-fixed-price, T&M, cost-reimbursable (w/fixed & award fees), GSA Federal Supply Schedule (preferably MOBIS), IDIQ (task/delivery orders).
